Hongyadong is located in the river-side area where the Yangtze River and the Jialing River converge and is next to Jiefangbei Cangbai Road, which is the core business center of Chongqing. Hongyadong contains urban tour view, business view and cultural view. The architectures here are in the form of traditional pile dwellings of Ba and Yu, constructed against the mountain and by the side of the river, directly leading Jiefangbei to the river area.
Hongyadong bears a history of over 2300 years. The project “Hongyadong Folk Landscape District” is one of the “ Eight People’s Projects” of Chongqing government in 2005, with a total space of 46000㎡. It is also “Chongqing’s highlight landscape project” and “3A key tourism project”.
If you are interested in traditional pile dwellings, old streets of the “mountain city”, rich culture of Ba and Yu, mind-blowing scenery of two rivers and the delicious local food, then Hongyadong is the place to go. It is thus called the reception hall of Jiefangbei.
